Introduction
As the field of education continuously embraces technological innovations, emerging concepts like artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, and the metaverse offer possibilities for education and profoundly impact primary and secondary education. Primary and secondary school teachers, as frontline educators, are better positioned to understand how technology can be effectively applied in the teaching environment. The 29th Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE 2025) is scheduled to take place from May 24 to 28, 2025, at Jiangnan University in Wuxi City and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong SAR, China. The theme of this conference is “Embracing Frontier Technology: Cultivating the New Paradigm of Learners”. Participants will engage in extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on this theme. Participants will jointly explore the potential for the integration of emerging technologies with the humanities. By exploring the development of cutting-edge technologies in the educational field and rational discussions about how technology will shape future education and cultivate the next generation, the discussions on how technology can redefine “teaching” and “learning” are invaluable. Teachers’ valuable teaching experiences are not only rare research resources for academic researchers but also serve as examples for peer learning among each other. The Teacher Forum of GCCCE 2025 provides K-12 teachers and administrators around the world a platform for publishing papers and exchanging experiences in practical integration of ICT in education in order to enhance their professional development. The valuable teaching experiences of the practitioners would not only constitute crucial inspirations and resources for academic researchers, but also offer mutual learning opportunities among peer teachers. We would like to invite K-12 teachers and education administrators around the world to submit their papers to the Teacher Forum and join in the conference community to share their works.
The scope of papers will cover but not be limited to:
1. Teachers’ professional development and reflection on technology-enhanced learning
2. Emerging technologies in K-12 education, such as AR, VR, robots, etc.
3. ICT-integrated cross-disciplinary curriculum design, such as STE(A)M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)
